As of right now i have 1 12 inch Pioneer TS-W309D4 Sub in a sealed box connected to a 1050 watt jensen amp with 8 guage wiring and a capacitor in my car. At first i was really happy with it, and I still am but I feel like going a little louder still. It puts out about 124-125 decibles when i turn it up. Im thinking of adding 2 more twelves in my trunk, as in keeping this 1 12 and adding 2 more. How to get a good moped? How to get a good moped? I'm like so many consumers fed up with gasoline. $4.159 and $4.199 per gallon. I used to use my bike to compensate for that. It's a little harder now because my Upward Bound classes are thirty miles North of where I live and when they were only twenty two miles North, a bike ride took me two and one half hours one way going up and four hours one way if it were night because its colder and darker and you have to stop and sit while huge rigs are passing on the highway. I think I want a moped because it is legally a bike but it can go twenty miles per hour, I could ride in 1.5 hours to class. I see Hero's for sale but I read a post that it is hard to get parts if you have a problem. I want to know 1. Which mopeds are best. 2. Which mopeds are a good idea as used product. .3. Jeep . How to De-Restrict a 50CC ScooterEven when a 50cc scooter is in perfect working order, its top speed is often well below that of other vehicles on the road. This can make driving a scooter a frustrating and potentially dangerous endeavor. To increase the speed of your scooter, there are many aftermarket add-ons you can purchase and install. A cheaper and easier method of improving your scooter's speed, however, is to de-restrict its variator. De-restricting your 50cc scooter's variator requires you to remove a restricting washer from the variator or pulley system of the scooter. Difficulty:Challenging Instructions Things You'll Need Strap wrench 5mm Allen key wrench Socket wrench 8mm socket Step by Step : 1 Remove your scooter's kick stand by pulling the pin on the inside of the kick stand out completely and then pulling the kick stand off the variator box. The kick stand and variator box are on the left side of the scooter. 2 Loosen the two 10mm bolts holding down the covering of the intake box using a 5mm Allen key wrench. 3 Remove the six bolts holding on the lid of the variator case using an 8mm socket. Three of the bolts for the case on are the top of the case and three are on the bottom. 4 Squeeze together the mechanisms of each of the two pulleys, front and back, as if you are squeezing together a sandwich. This will loosen the pulley wheels, allowing you to work in the pulley system with greater ease. 5 Lock the front pulley wheel in place using a large strap wrench. Put the looped strap of the wrench around the pulley wheel, tighten it and wedge the handle of the pulley in place under the rear pulley. This will prevent the pulley wheel from turning as you unscrew the center bolt holding it in place. 6 Remove the bolt holding down the faceplate of the front pulley wheel with an 8mm socket. Use a reverse or upside down grip while standing over the scooter with your head facing the rear of the scooter to crack the bolt. Pull up on the ratchet (counterclockwise on the bolt) to crack it and remove it. 7 Pull the three pieces off the faceplate of the front pulley wheel. The three pieces are the nut you just cracked, a washer spacing the top of the nut and a starter piece that mates the scooter's starter engine to the pulley system. Keep these pieces together. 8 Pull the faceplate off the front pulley wheel, revealing the pulley belt and rod. 9 Remove the restricting washer on the pulley rod. Step by Step : 10 Reassemble the variator's box in reverse order. Tips & Warnings De-restricting a scooter could increase your scooter's top speed past your state's specified speed restrictions for 50cc scooters. Check with your DMV about your state's specific scooter operation laws or about re-registering your scooter as a motorcycle. Re-registering your scooter will require you to obtain an M-class license.
Jeep . How Replace the Timing Belt on a 2001 CivicThe timing belt is the part of your 2001 Honda Civic that keeps your engine valves operating with the correct rhythm. The timing belt is an absolutely vital part of your vehicle's engine. If the belt breaks and the valves are not kept in time, it is likely that your engine will experience a catastrophic failure. For this reason, you should replace the timing belt on your Civic at least as often as recommended by the manufacturer. This will help to ensure your car's engine lasts for a long time. Difficulty:Challenging Instructions Things You'll Need Floor jack Jack stands Wheel blocks Lug wrench Sockets Ratchet Wrenches Chain wrench Step by Step : 1 Disconnect the vehicle battery at the negative terminal. Block the rear wheels, and release the parking brake. Loosen the left-front lug nuts and jack up the front of the vehicle. Place jack stands securely under the Civic for safety. Remove the left-front lug nuts and wheel from the vehicle. 2 Pull the splash shield and drive belts out from under the vehicle. Remove the bolts that hold the power-steering pump in the vehicle, but do not disconnect the hoses that supply the power steering fluid. Set the pump out of the way. 3 Remove the bolts holding the alternator and valve cover in place. Pull these parts out and set them aside. Support the engine of the Civic with your floor jack. Place a piece of soft material like wood between the jack and the oil pan so you don't damage the pan. Disconnect the upper left engine mount bracket from the engine. 4 Rotate the crankshaft counterclockwise until the No. 1 piston is at top dead center; never rotate the shaft clockwise. Disconnect the top dead center sensor once the piston is in place. Remove the side engine mounting bracket from the vehicle. 5 Pull off the upper timing belt cover. Hold the crankshaft pulley stationary with a chain wrench, and loosen the pulley bolt using a socket and ratchet. Attach a breaker bar if the bolt is too tight to be removed with a regular ratchet. Pull the crankshaft position sensor out from underneath the Civic. 6 Loosen the tensioner bolt for the timing belt. Press the tensioner to release the tension on the belt and tighten the bolt in position where the belt is loose. Slip the belt off of the pulleys. 7 Line up the holes on the tensioner pulley and the base. Place a 0.12-inch pin into the holes to keep them aligned. Place the new timing belt around the crankshaft sprocket and then the tensioner pulley and other pulleys it was originally on. Loosen the tensioner bolt, and put a small amount of tension in the belt. Turn the crankshaft two full revolutions. If it will not turn two full revolutions, the timing is off and you have made a mistake installing the belt; remove it and try again until the crankshaft will spin properly. Tighten the tensioner mounting bolt, and remove the pin from the pulley and base. 8 Reinstall the engine mounts, valve cover, alternator, power-steering pump, drive belts, splash shield, and wheel in the reverse manner of how they were removed. Reconnect the battery. 9 Run the engine to check that it operates properly. If anything seems to be incorrect, check your work for mistakes before attempting to drive the vehicle. Tips & Warnings Always support a car on jack stands and never just a jack when you will be working underneath it. A jack by itself can fail, causing injury or death. Automakers add a couple of gimmicks to keep the water from boiling too easily. These include a water pump to keep it moving; a fan and a radiator to cool it off; a pressure cap to retard boiling; a thermostat to help the engine quickly reach and maintain the proper temperature; and antifreeze/coolant to raise the boiling point and keep the water from rusting the engine and freezing in winter. Put them all together, and you have your vehicle's cooling system (see Figure 8-1). The cooling system is highly efficient. It usually requires almost no work to keep it operating — just a watchful eye for leaks and an occasional check or change of coolant. This chapter explores the system part by part. Chapter 14 shows you what to do if your car overheats and how to maintain and troubleshoot the cooling system and make easy repairs. Chapter 21 helps you get out of trouble if your car overheats on the road. 160 Part": What Makes It Go?. It takes only half that heat to melt iron, and your engine would be a useless lump of metal in about 20 minutes if your vehicle couldn't keep things cool. Naturally, the liquid (coolant and water) that circulates around the cylinders in the engine block gets very hot, and so it's continually circulated back to the radiator, where it cools off before heading back to the scene of the action. The radiator is designed to cool the liquid quickly by passing it over a large cooling surface. The liquid enters the radiator through the top radiator hose, which is usually connected to (you guessed it) the top of the radiator (refer Jeep . How do you take the play out of the steering?
